  • Hi Philip,

I know you requested this for a long time, in order to help for futur install and to help other people here is the procedure:
    - Click on Download just above ( You are redirected to a githib account )
    - Go to the Livrables folder
    - Download alfresco-Annotator-2.0.amp and share-Annotator-2.0.amp
    - On your server where alfresco is running, go to the installation folder ( by default on unix it is : /opt/alfresco-xxx/ ) for windows please see documentation I've no idea but it should be easy to find. We will tag this folder as .
    - Now you are in the root of your project, copy alfresco-Annotator-2.0.amp in /amps/
    - Copy share-Annotator-2.0.amp in /amps_share

[INFO] Be aware the following step will install all present war amp file located in the folder amps and amps_share. This mean, if you added other amp file for testing, they will be installed too... So make sure, the amps you have are all correct for your current alfresco version. If you never played with this folder before, discard this info. There is some default amp, leave them as they are.

    - Now we are going to install the amps, to do so, execute as sudo the script apply_amps.sh located in /bin.
From the alfresco root folder is should be the following command : sudo sh ./bin/apply_amps.sh
    - You now need to restart alfresco, use the script called alfresco.sh located in as sudo with restart as parameter. This should be the following command from : sudo sh alfresco.sh restart

[INFO] If the script got stuck, stop it with ctrl+C and redo the previous command. This will make it go through.

[INFO] Log are located in , you can read them after restart to see if everything went fine or use the tail command as follow : tail -n 250 -f alfresco.log ( This will show you the log written in live )

You can now connect to your alfresco instance, open a document. You will see the tab on the right side, and will be able to highlight words and put annotation.

    Hope this helped !
